I think that I'll learn some from your question too. PM = Private Message, but I don't know DIM.

Hi, I know PM means Private Message which is the tab (fourth one along) when you are answering a question. I don't know what DIM means I'm sorry. Love Chris
someone will come along soon and let you know.

It's pouring rain again - about the 5th day in a row for Newcastle. Should have stayed in bed, but want to get up and get some housework done. I've finished Dad's quilt, but for some reason it won't let me upload to Projects and I've resized it numerous times. Love Chris
Oh Chris I do wish you could send some of that rain my way it's been so hot and dry here even the concrete is cracking. You don't realize how lucky you are....maybe a little wet though....lol. Hugs Karen

to the top
TTT is to the top; it sends the message to the top of the list. Three characters (or letters) are necessary to write a message.
TTT means "to the top". Sometime a post needs a reply but get buried and by answering it with TTT it gets back to the front page

i would like to join you in asking the qestions! I know that PM - Private Message, but DIM, I have no idea and what the heck does TTT mean????????????????

I believe DIM is a website: Designs in Mail. I could be wrong though. TTT is "to the top". It moves a question to the top of the que so more people see it.
I hope this helps.

Best of luck; I'm not sure what DIM is either, but TTT is 'to the top' which causes a message to be sent to the top (or beginning) of the list.

I see you get your answers-sorta-I have never seen the DIM before-but who knows?? You will run across alot of crazy "shortcuts" and odd spellings here. The diverse group we have here sure makes reading colorful. I am guilty for slang sometimes(ex.-sorta instead of sort of). Some spellings are just strange-supposed to be cute-but strange. The one in particular that comes to mind is "sew" instead of so-all the time!! It is fun to log onto community every morning though-I grab a cup of coffee and check out "what's new" before I even hop in the shower and start my work day. BTW (by the way)-Welcome to cute!!

I have managed to figure out almost all of the abb. and have had a really good laugh at the replies on the older posts about this from the links provided by Chris.
I even learned one that I didn't know (and didn't realize it was and abb. ITH - oh, I feel silly - in the hoop!
I have had instances where my daughter (who does a lot of texting with her sons and hubby and others) has had to ask me what I meant with an abb. that I thought was self explanitory (can't rem. what it was at the mo.)
