This is a "Five Patch Chain" block made with 10 inch (9 1/2 finished) squares. The embroidery designs are from "Cute." Since they are 4X4 I cut them into 6 inch squares and put on a 2 1/2 inch border to create the 10 inch white squares. To make this quilt faster, use RW on a 10 inch square.

Nicely done. You didn't say how long the whole project took you to make the quick quilt.

Not counting the embroidery, one evening.

I love it!! I have really been wanting to make a quilt, but I just can't seem to get started. I can't decide on a pattern or fabric. You have inspired me. Maybe, just maybe I will get started soon. lol Thanks for sharing your beautiful quilt.

You could try the strip quilt (aka lasagna quilt) It's fun and easy.

I love seeing the quilts everyone makes. I have two to get done before Christmas and need ideas. This would be a nice way to do it.

how long did it take you to make this quilt? it is lovely like the patriotic designs.

It took about an hour for each design to stitch out. While the embroidery machine was running, I did the cutting and piecing. All together 3 evenings. However, if you use RW designs or embroidered blocks you already have in your stash you could do this quilt in an evening.

This is really beautiful. I have always liked the little eagles and this is the perfect way to use them (hoping maybe my store still has some of that patriotic fabric left).

Like your fabric. I have used this fabric to make a disappearing 9-patch quilt which I love. I'm also using it to make another with the 1/2 logcabin.
