I put together this design from two freebies and some of my own lettering. I was anxious to stitch it out. Next time, I will spell PEACE in black...but otherwise, I like it! I think this purse will be popular with the younger girls...or the old hippies that are still out there! lol The front is stitched on a piece of old jean leg...thanks to dear boyfriend, Jim! And the back pocket, the frayed hem of the jeans, turned upside down. Thought the frayed part added a little more "HIP" to this bag!

I was just a little girl then. But I remember flowers in my hair and peace symbols. I really like your bag. Funky threads too LOL. I must say, I kida like the "Peace" in that color. *4U flower girl. ><>

I like the color of the peace, too..but what happens, when you stitch out the black peace symbol, the machine will outline in the area, where the words will go...and then the outlining shows somewhat around the word. So...I figure, if it's going to play this game, I will just stitch out the word in black...thus, either eliminating the outline stitches if I can join the two black colors into one...or simply hiding the outlines so I don't have to rip out some of those outlines. Another day...another purse, I guess, to test!

How cute!!! This reminds me of the darling VW they have on Embroidery Library... I love the 1960's retro-type style. :-)
