That he has Anti-thrombin 3 deficiency, an inherited blood disease, he is the baby of his family & by the time he was 47 he had out lived all of his fmly except for an adopted bro. & 2 half brothers. They all died in deaths related to this disease that was only discovered & diagnosed in them in 1985 by a forensic dr. who did an autopsy on my hubby's brother finding his entire body riddled with blood clots. Mae & female alike get it after young teen yrs. & it is now in the 3rd generation. My hubby cannot have blood thinners so you know the danger of surgery especially major. It is not cureable, they treat with blood thinners 'till they start bleeding & that's what caused my DH Intracranial bleed several yrs. ago. Can you even imagine being on 22 milligrams of coumadin a day when normal dose is around 2 or 2.5? Please just ask God that His will be done in our lives, God tells me His grace is sufficient so I am putting my faith & trust in Him. His surgery will be in the morning around 7 am CST I am forever grateful & you will be hearing from me./Lillian

Lillian, I will certainly keep you both in prayer, especially tomorrow morning. The Anti-thrombin deficiency sounds really terrible. It was certainly good that the forensic doctor discovered the cause of such early mortality in his family, so at least your hubby has the best care possible, even though that coumadin dose is unbelievable.
