Bill is doing very well, they only kept him in I.C.U. for 24 hours. He was moved to the step down unit. He is back on solid food and is up in the chair most of the day.
They were going to start walking him tonight.
He has pain in the chest but the morphine helps ! He still has the drain tubes in but most of the I.V.s have been taken away. The Doctor has given no indication when he can come home. When he does come home they will send a Nurse every day to check him and change bandages. Hope she does housework too..........

Katy, he had heart valve replacement surgery in Florida, and I'm in PA. I wrote all the details in the previous post, if you want to look it up. Thanks so much for your prayers. Hugs, Marjii

The heart valve replacement is usually a three day hospital stay. A day or two more depending on the patient's condition. My best to you both.

So glad to hear Bill is on the road to recovery Marji. One day at a time, better to have the nurses there in the hospital taking care of him where there is instant help if needed. Hugs x0x0x

Wow, more great news!! This is Saturday, and my friend Bill will be coming home from the hospital TODAY!! With so much that could have gone wrong, nothing did, apparently, now all he has to do is recover. Keeping him down will be hard, I'm sure, glad I don't have to try that, hee hee hee. I'm so happy they fixed the valve, so now I don't leak out of his heart. He's been a good friend for a very long time. Thanks again for all your prayers, they sure seemed to work this time. Hugs, Marji
