n opened and we walked round and talked and talked. She has bought fabric to complete her quilt. At 1.00 we met as a group and had a talk and the photo was taken. Annie then left and we went back in the show and Sue and I walked and talked and did a little light shopping. Marthie and her daughter went off to look at embroidery machines. Sue and I then set off together as far as Birmingham. The day has been brilliant and it has been amazing meeting others here on Cute. Living as I do miles from anywhere it is good to meet others with similar interests and get ideas. Marthie brought from SA a beautiful wallhanging that the Cape Town Cuties had made as a gift for Sue. There is a photo of it under Sues posting

Sounds like are all having a wonderful time. What a great time to be able to meet friends that we correspond with but there is nothing like seeing them in person.

I'd bet you didn't need rocking to sleep!
It was well worth the effort so we must do it again....

Yes i agree completely with Carolyn that we had a wonderfull time and such fun meeting up with otherseven if just for a short time. Poor hubby at 84 had had enought bless him and so it was home so he could rest up
I for one was tired but happy and managed to get back home just before 4.00pm the poor dogs thought we had left them. but at least they could go out if needed as we have a dog flap.
Met one woman on a stand who had the little man in my brainbox haveing an epileptic fit. she informed me that by simply buying a certain Epsome printer that cost less than £40.00 that i couod print onto different fabrics without any prep work at all. As said my brain cell worked overtime at the ideas that came flooding through it.
I retired to bed at 10.00 with two books and a bag of fabric.. my mind still too overactive to settle down till the happy pills set in.
Daughter and her partner are off to Italy on Monday (she owns a holiday let near Pescara) so i have a week where i can do just as i please and no hospital or doctors apointments in sight. Armed with my stash and a new template i will be a happy bunnie in my shed, cutting and sorting and deciding just what to do first.
Hubby has taken the bait aabout the printer. so just need to hauk him in and let him decide that it is his decision to get another printer for my birthday to use in the shed.
if anyone wants more info on the printer just private mail me.
I am loking forward to the next quilt show next year but we do have the hobycraft one before that.

Must have been fun - which makes me think - do CUTES have a simple batch to wear on shows, so you can see a cute even if you do not have a date - we had a little something with my first inernetgroup way back and could "pick up" on other groupies at shows. Met some very nice friends by coincedens.
