some English Cuties welcoming another South African visitor into THEIR group and meeting up with each other as well.
I don't know how many of these posts I have read here at Cute since I first joined, but it occurred to me that I know of only one other (online) group where the members are close enough (in familiarity) to do this, but nowhere near as prolifically as we Cuties do it.
It warms the heart to be part of such a phenomenal family, such a truly amazing group of women (sorry, but we hardly ever hear from our menfolk).
Someone said the other day that digitisers here didn't HAVE to share their designs, they only do it because they WANT to.
Well I think she missed the whole point as to why we do it...
it is because of the feelings, the genuine affection and caring, that being a member here, seems to generate as soon as you sign in.
To me it is almost a tangible thing, I can feel the love and warmth from other Cuties, I can feel the caring and the camaraderie, the willingness to share knowledge and experience, as well as life's every day little happenings, to support those in need and to openly show affection for one another.
This doesn't happen on any other group that I know of.
And sure, like any family, there will occasionally be disagreements, differences of opinions and even an argument or three, but for the most part we all get along pretty darn well and when a stranger enters our midst and deliberately tries to stir trouble we become united, as a family, and fight for the peace and harmony of the group, as a whole.
I am proud to be a member of this wonderful family
I am proud to be a Cutie and just felt like saying so.
Hugs and roses, Meganne

I am a member of a music forum which comes close and have met others from USA and Europe when they were on their travels. It is a very sharing community, but there are members of that forum who are just the opposite! We don't seem to have much of that here.
Thanks to you , that is a special friend for all knot. I like you too much!
I am proud also, you have said that so well
Wendy
P.S. Couldn't have said it better.
By the way Meg are you coming to the Newcastle Craft show from this Thursday on?
Hugs n love, Meg
Must I say that the only thing I missed in my beautiful holidays in the Tuscany without TV, radio or internet was the CUTE-family? Yes we are so addicted and we love it :o)

as you know, if it wasn't for the love and support of my Cute family, I may not have still been here.

You're right about the closeness of this community. I feel it, too. I might be the Cutie nearest to the South Pole here but the friendship, kindness, thoughtfulness and acceptance reaches right down to me as warmly as it does anywhere else in the world.
My first fore into the machine embroidery arena was on this site and I've never left. Now it is my daily mecca and I've come to know many members, and, like a family, the characters and personalities differ to such an extent that my interest never wavers. The Hand of Friendship, offered freely, rightly or wrongly, accepted or not, is paramount here and I feel one of the crowd. I don't resent the time spent here, nor do I resent the time I can't spend elsewhere. This site is the hub of my machine embroidery addiction.
I'd love to meet up with other Cute Members but since that seems unlikely this is a very close second-best. I constantly thank Miss Veronika for her vision in beginning such a site and leading us all on a journey of generosity, kindness, thoughtfulness and acceptance.

THIS IS WHY I LOVE TO USE THIS PICTURE TO WELCOME ALL THE NEW "CUTIES"
