Hi claudenicolas, there is no tense, or time constraint on the word 'project' in the context of embroidery. It simply means an undertaking or a work that one intends to do, is currently working on, or has already done. Hope that clears any misconceptions you may have had. Cheers.

... and many people post other projects than embroidery. Sewing, building, motorcycles, etc... we even have some of our family post kids and grandkids that were just born. We share just about anything that's dear to our heart here on CUTE. ;-)

It usually means the same to us. Tolgamun has a good explanation here. On this site it is a place to show off our work. And we love to see them. It gives us additional ideas and gives some of us the courage to try new things.

You have to watch us Americans....we will make up words too! hahaha....My husband says that he is going projecting and that is totally not the correct usage, but it works, so we are not formal at all.;)

Languages can be tricky, especially when a word is written almost the same. But whatever the meaning, you can post your work in any stage, except when it's only a concept in your mind :) Flower for you.

Here we call those "projects" UFO's (Unfinished Objects)or could be QIP's (Quilts In Progress)...There are a few more too. What are they girls? *4U ><>
