My nephew is in his 30's and has been battling cancer for several years. Prior to getting sick, he was a pilot and an airline mechanic. He worked for a company that customized private jets. I had recently done a design for his mother (for a gift for him) of a cessna (private airplane) flying in, with the sun in the background and his birthdate. He has been given just a few months to live, and his mother has decided to do something else with the design (she doesn't think she can finish the quilt before he is gone). My husband wondered if I could find a design of a cessna flying away (so the tail of the plane was primary) where I could embroider another 'block' with the plane and the day he died. I know this is an odd request, and somewhat 'morbid' but it is something my husband wants us to do to give to his sister. They talk several times a day and it probably makes more sense to them than it does to me (doing this, when he's so ill - but then - what SHOULD they be doing? And I talk too much. Sorry. Is anyone able to help? I use a bernina, so my software likes art designs. But, I think I can also use pes designs. I mean, I think the artista can read them, as well.
Please accept this offer with my heartfelt empathy.

If you do the search for a couple of photo's I will do my best to digitise it for you.
If you GOOGLE "cessna [model no] pictures" or cessna aircraft photo's (pictures) or wording similar you are bound to find SOMETHING, but the photo's need to be as close, to how you want the design, as possible.
I know nought about aircraft.
The larger the photo, the better, but it also needs to be very clear and not pixelated (with the little squares showing) any IMAGE format is OK as I can re-format images.
Once you have found your photo's as many as 6 or as many good ones that you think are worth looking at,
email them to me with the EXACT size you want the design, information such as filled or outline and the amount of time I have to do it for you.
Make sure you put 'CUTE' and your cute 'ID' in the subject line so it doesn't go to spam and get deleted.

I think his idea of completing the quilt this way is going to give his sister a great deal of comfort as she stitches the final blocks together. This is not a new idea but it is, indeed, a very comforting and healing one.
Your involvement will be treasured, too.
Sending prayers for understanding and acceptance of what is happening to this young man and thoughts of comfort for you all.
With much love -
AlmaG.
