I've been busy this week, re-working this display to use for my purses on Saturday at my show. We had junk pickup last week, and the neighbor had this in her pile. I took it home and gave it some TLC...should have taken a before shot, which I never remember to do! Anyways, I loaded it up for a trial run tonight and took a couple pictures for the cute group. You will notice a few familiar purses that I've alread shared...and quite a few more "newbies". The little neighbor girl had been watching me work on it, so I showed her my completed project, full of purses, and she gave me her thumbs up!

What a special gift you received from the neighbor - just in time for the show - you did a wonderful job on it and this display is spectacular. Great work and I see a bit of a bag of money coming home with you, too! Hehehe!

every thing looks great! Be sure to report your results to us. I just read your profile, so i see you are an old hand at flea markets. I wish you could come to Stone Mountain, Ga. the first days of Sept. to the Yellow Daisey festival. It is one of the largest craft flea market in the country and there are thousands of vendors. many people bring their machines and personalize items on the spot. Every year I walk for hours until I have to go home. last year they even had transportation back to all the parking lots. I know it is a long from Mich but people come from all over the world to show their wares.

I am into making bags and diaper bags, haven't been doing it very long. Would like to talk to you about some of your designs and where you get your ideas. Did you see some of my bags I posted? Let me know what you think, since you have probably been doing this longer than I have. Thanks, they look great. *4U

yes, I've seen your work! very nice! I pick up designs whereever I can find them...lol. I love putting together a couple to get the look I'm looking for. Some of these are placemat purses, where I will embroider the placemat and then just make a purse. The others...well, most of the time, I will just test embroider the design that I've created and then build a purse around it. I make my own patterns, so for me, it's easy to just start "bulding" around my fabric stash and the piece of fabric that's been embroidered. I've been sewing for close to 40 years and doing craft shows for a looonngggg time! I think the fun part of it all is doing what you love and just having fun! Selling for me is second on my list...I don't like taking orders, I make what I want for a show...if they like it, they buy it and then I make more for the next show. Happy purse making!

lol...didn't sell them all! It was a pretty small show, well advertised, but three hours doesn't do much!! It was fun though, getting out and making a few bucks to boot! I took a picture of my little table that I hope to get posted maybe tonight.
