A kitchen towel from Julia's Needle designs. I realized the words " Something to crow about" were not going to show up. I removed the hoop from the machine to take a closer look and it came unhooped in my hand. I had planed to stitch over the words in Black, now I guess I got myself a new kitchen towel. Kay

It is a cute design. The picture shows the saying well. Was this going to be a gift for someone?

Was to be put in the boutique I stitch for. It is not special now!!! Ha ha!
by capoodle 26 Aug 2011
I would still go ahead and put it in the boutique. We are our own worst critics.

Kay, it doesn't look that bad to me - I like it - but then - you really wanted a new kitchen towel for yourself anyway - right? The neat thing is - you can stitch another.

If you really want to make it work, applique a small rectangular shape over the wording and restitch the saying "something to crow about" over the new applique. I absolutely love the crow and the sunflowers!!!! ~Carolyn~

Good idea, but I could just stitch another one from scratch!! To rehoop and line up would be hard!!

Nice fall colors.

I can read it when in closeup so must be alright.
Very cute towel.

I love it. The words may not be that easy to read on this picture, they are in close-up, so I think they'll be OK in real life. But I see your point: black would have shown up much better. Love that crow!

I either made a poor choice of thread color or poor choice of towel. Both, maybe!

Looks very nice. I have had my hoops do that to me too. I like the towel and the design. Is your towel cotton or terry? If it is cotton, I would like to know where you got it from, as we do not have a good supplier for kitchen towels here.
Thanks, Bonnie

yes, just a cotton kitchen dish towel. I think I purchased it from Tuesday Morning's or TJ Maxx. Are you lucky to have either store in your area?
by bnilla9241 30 Aug 2011
Yes, we have both! The town I live in has 1,800 or so residents and the next really big town, 60,00 or so residents has a mall and many smaller shops. Thanks for the reply!

Such a cute sunflower design you've done& I like how it is. There's a feature on my Viking machine that allows me to see the background color before stitching but,not sure all machines have that. You'll enjoy it& nice to see a sample. Thanks for sharing your project.:~D

I have that ability in my software to change background colors, but I hardly ever do it. Perhaps I should have.

Thank you for all your comments on my Boo Boo. I will take it to the shop and hope for the best and if it doesn't sell, then I will keep it for my self and add to my Boo Boo collection. Flowers to all and happy stitching!!!

I love the design! I am a fan of crows and sunflowers! I might even have a similar pattern to make me one similar! The green saying will show up just fine when it is hanging in the kitchen. I went in for a close up and it shows well. You may not want to try to sell it but I think it is great!

I think it is really nice. Now you have a "Mistake" cloth for your kitchen, because fate so planned it for you to also have something to delight you!!!!
