I don't normally embroider towels but I was inspired by Jayce's idea of putting a topper design on the side of a hand towel. I tried this design of Castelyn's on an old towel to see how it worked - I added a bit of calico so that the loop could be off the edge and I am very pleased with the result (modelled by my sewing room door handle). I really like the way the towel hangs symmetrically. (If I was inventing hand towels, they would probably be square!)

It works well on the side and now you have a new towel to be proud of.

Sue, I am with you - I liked Jayce's idea and yours looks very symmetrical. It looks wonderful and something to be proud of - we might be starting a new trend here. Hehehe!

I think they work very nicely from the middle edge. I like it.

I have also never made a towel topper as they are not my thing. This looks great. I now think I will try. Sarah.

This is only the second towel I have pur anything on, but, using this style, I don't think it will be the last!

Well done to you and Yvonne and for Jayce's posting to remind as all of the use of this design. I do it with my dish towels as well. Just hangs better

What a lovely hand towel topper you've made. Would this work on a fingertip size too? Thanks for sharing your work.:~D
