Thirteen must be the magic year for our dear pets to go. Thats the age our dog was when she went also. My Whisper has been gone for 20 years. It is hard to let go. Thinking of you.

It's a dreadful decision to of had to make. It is like losing a family member. My best thoughts are with you and it's OK to think about her.

I'm so sorry! My Dancer died July 16th, so I'm still hurting, too. It's more like losing a teenager than a "pet" when you have them and love them that long! I hope you can find comfort somehow, and when you're able, rescue another dog who needs you, one that might otherwise never get a home... Big hugs, Marji

I am so sorry for your loss.... I am going to pass on to you something that a friend passed on to me after the loss of a Lab that at one point we had had longer than our youngest son....
"Pets never really die, they just snuggle down deep inside the safety of a loved ones heart, gently settling down to sleep among the memories they have shared, and from that safe place to venture forth whenever you choose to stop and remember..."
I just recently put this on a book cover for her along with a stitch out of an Aussie.... She had to have her put down not long ago..
I know exactly what you are going thru..., I will keep you in my thoughts and will ask the Great Spirit to help you with your morning time.. I know He has already welcomed Brindy to the other side and both will be there for you when you cross over...

Sorry to hear your news. Our furry friends are part of ou families and parting with them does hurt. I have had to have 2 of my elderly cats put down in the last 8 months, feel it is the final choice that we can make for them when we see them suffering so. Thinking of you, just try to remember the happy times with Brindy

Sorry to hear the news of Brindy's passing. They do become part of the family. Just remember that you will meet again at Rainbow Bridge.

Why should it be so strange to be so attached to our wonderful furry friends? I am so very sorry to hear that your Brindy had to be put down. I dread the day that I have to perhaps make the decision to have my wonderful pekinese put down. He is with me every minute of the day. As I write this he is sitting on my feet. We just cannot get enough of each other. Just think how kind you have been to have put Brindy out of his pain and suffering. Thinking of you. Sarah.

Our pets are part of the family, that is the way i see it, i had to put to sleep one and it was very painful for all of us, some years after we had to make the same decision, but in the morning we went to see her and she already had passed away, it was a relief we did not have to go to the vet, she was 13 years old. i know how you must feel.My sincere simpathy.

I know the feeling when you loose your pet, its like losing your child. A few days ago my german shephard, Krish, saved me from being held up in my back yard. He never leaves my side, if someone strange comes home, he looks for me first to be by my side. Just try and remember the good times you had together, I pray to god that he gives you the strength to be stronge.

I'm so sorry to read this - the tears are rolling down my face - my beloved Bella was only put down in May an like Marji - my heart still aches. That beautiful poem from the "Rainbow Bridge" series says it all. My thoughts andd prayers are with you. Time will heal your broken heart, but memories will live with you as long as you live. no that isn't strange at all!! they become such a lovely big part of the family. So my prayers and support are for you. because it's always so difficult to say goodbye to a beloved pet. I know from experience myself. big hug for you. hope you have many pictures and memories of her to look back at the lovely moments you shared together.she will always stay in your mind and in your heart.
