Hi, sometimes when we pray unselfishly for someone we don't know and there's "nothing in it for us", I think and hope our Lord hears the sincerity of our prayers, so I'm asking you to join me in praying for some folk I've never met: someone recently sent me a message apologising for taking a little longer than usual to finalize an EBay transaction and went on to tell me how their sheep had been attacked; they have corresponded a week later to say that they have, so far, with much time and care, managed to keep 4 badly injured ewes alive and one lamb that is starting to eat again but still can't get to its feet - they carry the lamb out into the paddock each day & carry it back into the shed - these folk seem to be very distressed by what happened and are trying their best to save their animals -I told them they were in my prayers, but I figure it wouldn't hurt if they were in some of your prayers, too, please.

Farmers has to work under so many adverse conditions and losing livestock in any numbers is heart breaking. I pray that they will be able to recover from these losses.

thank-you; I agree farmers have to deal with a lot of challenges and I think the ones who really care about their animals are very special.

Oh, my, what a shame! When you say "dog attack", do you mean they have wild dogs roaming in packs? We have coyotes here in NWPA USA, "urban" coyotes, who do run in packs, not like the truly wild ones out in the western states. I guess I never heard of wild dogs. But anyway, I will surely keep these folks and their little sheep in my prayers, was just at our County Fair this week and was petting all the sheep and goats, they are such gentle things. I hope God can put healing into their hands as they care for their poor animals. Thank you for caring enough to share with us, there's a lot of animals on my prayer list. Hugs, Marji
