This bag is a gift for a friend who works with community choirs - she doesn't like them to have music as you learn more thoroughly by ear. The tree, the music notes and the Bauhaus font are all built into my machine and I added the two capital letters from a music font. I combined all of the designs in my 8" hoop - and remembered to save the complete design in case I need it again!

My daughter plays fiddle/violin by ear. She can read sheet music for piano,flute and play those too, but plays all 3 by ear. That is how she learned. I think what you meant was your friend doesn't like them to have "sheet" music, to learn.I can play cds/radio, so I guess thats how I play by ear.haha-Toogie
