As y'all know, I love Sunbonnets! Well I also love Southern and Victorian Belles! LOL A few weeks ago these were on sale at Oregon Patchworks, and I just had to have'em! LOL They were fun to play with and stitched nicely. I was just a bit disappointed that the fist sequence of stitches showed through other parts of the design, but will figure that out on the next batch. All 5 designs start with the outline and loop and called for white. Anywho, no worries because they all stitched well. "Gone With The Wind" is my favorite movies and book and these reminded me of that as you can see I played with greens and golds for Scarlet's velvet drapery gown. The upside down green variegated is something I won't do again using that type thread, and is shown just as an example of how I flip-flopped the designs to get 3 in my 5x7 hoop. That particular design I could fit 2 in my 4x4. Anyway, I had fun and will make many of these.

Special thanks to Linda of Ace Points for working her magic on design 004 that gave me a small problem. Designs are from Ace Poits A756A FSL Victorian Belles 2

They have nice detail on them and really are cute. I'm like you with the variegated thread that it is not a good choice for showing the detail. I probably would have tried it also because it can give a neat effect.

Thanks bunches! Yep, sometimes the designs are just not suited for variegated thread, but I love to see. That particular design took less than 20 minutes so I figured it was the one to try. LOL

Thank you!! Most everything I make I give to others I meet out and about to bring a smile. First though, my 87 year old Mama picks what she wants for her friends at the independent living complex where she lives. She loves giving pretties to all her friends. I plan on making a bunch of these and of course I will keep some for me.

Thanks so much!! I look forward to seeing your ideas and thoughts. They're a lot of fun and don't take long to stitch. I think the bottom left took the longest round 30 minutes + thread changes.

Very pretty.. I am also curious as to what you are going to do with them. Ohh, Just a thought, they would be very pretty on a purse or eye glass case.

Thanks so much! I love to experiment with color and now I'm using colors I've never even broke the seal on. I tend to get 'stuck' on a hand full of colors and had fun using totally different ones on this set.

Thank you very much. Many, many years ago, a book report in HS led me to "Gone With The Wind", and from that day to now, I feel in love.
