I am looking for a good quality burp cloth that I have seen in some shops for embroidery. I use the ones now from Target and Walmart that are made by Gerber but I would like those nice thick ones

Have you thought of using cloth diapers? Maybe putting a baby themed piece of blanket binding on either end and then stiching an embroidery design on it.

I have seen a pattern (can't remember) but they used the cloth diaper and used fabric on center section. They turned the edges under and top stitched it on. So you could embroidery then add to the diaper.

Paula, I also make a lot of burp cloths (working on one right now) I use the Gerber "burp cloths" they are flannel and thick and soft. They have flannel receiving blankets that match the burpies. Do you use these or the 3-ply diapers? Good luck if you find a really nice one please let me know. Good luck. Sue
