I had said I'd post a picture of the sewing machine I found for my GD. So I am posting it below. Hopefully I do this right!

Sorry about that - it's a great buy, by the way. Love Chris

Thanks. I was just slow getting it uploaded as I couldn't find it at first and then it seemed to take forever, but I got it. Thanks for coming back and having a look.

For, did you say $20.? I'd say you almost stole it! Great find, good luck with it and hope gd has much enjoyment from it._Toogie

yup! $20 - she was asking $30. It is over 30 yrs. old and works beautiful. The lady really looked after it - it was her baby.

I actually started the initial learning (what things are for and what they do, etc.) on my machine a couple weeks ago as I figured I'd never find what I wanted!

Just think of the fun you two will have together!!~

She's a lucky girl to have a grandma like you as well as her lovely new machine. I don't know Brother machines well - never used one - but I've seen them at sewing class and this one looks a real beauty.

Thanks. This is the first brother I've used. It has a lot of the features my Janome Memory 7 had.

She'll love this little Brother sewing machine and maybe she'll get the inclination to graduate to embroidery and join us someday, eh?

She really likes it, but has a lot to learn. I insist she learns all the things it can do and how to do everything properly. Also, have to get her own spot set up in my sewing room - but have to shift stuff around, etc. first. Time!

You got an absolute bargain. My very first sewing machine was a Brother - not quite as fancy as yours but I loved it. May your GD have many happy hours sewing.

Thanks. I think it's going to give her lots of happy sewing time. I had been hoping to find one with a little bit of what this one has and figured I'd have to pay more as it would probably be newer. But I really like this and it sews really good and is quiet!
