I found a very nice, easy to do ITH purse/ card holder on Sewforum for 4x4 hoop. Unfortunately I do not know the page but it was fairly near the beginning. I made 2 yesterday for my GC and I will post them in projects later. Sorry I have just realised that the USA call handbags purses - perhaps that is what you mean??
