Hi Helen, I imagine that you might have to run your software again so it works with Windows 7. I am in desperate need for a new computer but this is the exact reason I do not want to change to a new one. Someone with more knowledge will help you I am sure. Sarah.

Do you belong to the yahoo group for SewWhat products? If not, join, they will help.

Mine does the same, I have to run my iconizer program again to fix it. I think it might be a windows7 problem.

It might be Windows 7. I have XP on one and Vista on another and no problems. My program and machine works well on both.

I just upgraded and had the same problem with my Bernina Software. When you open the folder where your designs are over on the right hand side there are 3 icons. Far right is a question mark for help, next to it is Hide/Show the preview pane and the next one is change your view. After I had reinstalled my SewIconz program I also had to change my view so that I could see my designs. Hope this helps.;)

Right click on the shortcut on you desktop if you have a shortcut. If not, go to programs and right click on the program. I think you are talking about Sew Iconz. Select properties, then the compatibility tab. Change the compatibility to run with XP Service Pak 2 or 3. Click apply then OK. This is how I got it to work on my Windows 7 PC.

There is a free 64 bit update for SewIconz on their website. I needed that when I went to W7.

I did download the 32 bit update and even after installing it, I still had to change compatibility.

Still no luck, have installed the 64bit driver to my new computer for windows 7 but the folders are still not showing the icons of the designs in my embroidery folders. Guess I will have to go and see my Janome dealer and ask her to help fix this problem...

Again, the best thing you can do is join the yahoo group, found on the link page. Steve-the creator of these products, is a major presence on it. The software is continually evolving to be better and easier to use, and that is because he has an ear to all of us who are using the products. You will find all the answers you need there. I don't think the Janome dealer-unless they use these products-can help.
I joined the group Before I got SewIconz and SewWhatPro, and knowing help was an email away helped me decide to buy. When I first got SewIconz, I was having a problem, and after talking via the group, Steve CALLED me and walked me through the solution. Please try this.
Jo
