Vicki - I am so sorry to hear this - let us know how it progresses. I can understand - if you over use - that is can be very painful.

OH dear, not good. You may need to have a few more rest breaks and sew and pat kitties and dogs in between your regular tasks :) Best of luck.

Hope you are not in pain. Is is swollen as if you might have bursitus? I did and was told, Don't you remember your Mother telling you, " don't put your elbows on the table?"--here I always thought it was for manners but found out your hard elbow is pretty sensitive. Take a little break and maybe that is all you'll need.

My hubby had that and they had to do surgery and move the nerve into another place. he is fine now. Rest it so you can heal and not need an operation. Suzanne

Thank you for letting me know that, I am so concerned about the future, if I need surgery on it......

Oh no, time to rest and take care of yourself. I have so many of your designs anyway that I will then have time to stitch :). Hope you feel better soon.

Ah hope the news is okay but take it easy. I do get pains from knitting, crochet etc and can't do it for as long a time like I used too. Doctor said Take breaks, work ergonomically, and don't push to hard. Easier said than done but that pain isn't much fun so I do alternate hobbies to ease stress.

Thanks, everyone for the support, I can tell you this, I will not do anything that will put my love of this art in jeopardy, if I have to sit with an ice bag on my arm, that is what I will do. If I put pressure on that part of the arm it is white hot pain, when there is no pressure on it the area burns constantly, that is why she thinks the nerve is involved.

You MUST be careful. Try using the other hand more on the computer. I too have problems. Can not knit for long at a time--the whole left hand goes numb. Guess it is important to take breaks---especially as someone else said, take time to pet the cats and dog. They really help you to heal. Take care.

Vicki ,you may have to slow down and rest a bit more. Listen to the Doctor and take care of yourself.

I have not learned the word "whoa" yet, and slow down has never been in my vocabulary.....I am not liking my arm right now!!!

Guess it's time to do things in small amounts and stop at the first sign of discomfort. Let us know what they find in that xray.

Oh No, I am so sorry to hear that. I have a similar problem, but with my shoulder, elbow and hand, it has meant that I am unable to do a lot of quilting because I just get too sore Best of luck, I hope they can sort your problem out. I wont go because I do not want surgery again!!!

Nothing shall stop me, Alice...LOL..shouldn't say that, but that is my goal anyway......it really sucks though!! I had shoulder surgery on the same arm 15 years ago for impingement on the shoulder joint and that worked marvelous, but it was similar to rotor cuff surgery and I was out of commission for 4 months and intensive therapy, but have 100% use of the shoulder movement due to following through with my at home therapy...am not going to jump the gun, will wait to see what test results say..

I was going to say similar to rotor cuff surgery and I came out 100% because I did all the necessary therapy for 4 months...
Good hearing from you Alice!!
