Seems as if part of members do not read daily posts to keep up on what is happening and then gripe because change is not instantaneous. Whiners, ccomplainers and entitlers need dribbled for 15 minutes to get their attention. Then commuicate with them. I consider some posts inconsiderate to downright rude. Ms V is making nice improvements and we need to give her time to get site the way she wants it. I've vented and now I feel better.

Dear God send them patience and they need it right
now.

I'm usually a fence sitter when it comes to democratic discussion - you know, IMO, that sort of thing - but I think I just fell off onto your side of that interesting fence.

We could have been faced with a shutdown of the site while Veronika worked on it but I think she realises exactly how much some of our members rely on this daily visit with friends - how important it is in their daily lives - and has generously given us that continuation of daily routine.
It must be difficult working on such a complex and busy active site but things are coming together and we still get to visit with friends, ask questions, get answers, learn new things.

I'm glad you sent this message because I've been feeling the same way about some comments.

Oh Alma I couldn't help but laugh picturing you falling of a that fence. You are right of course. The most important part visiting with friends is intact.

I agree. I can't believe some of the negative comments. It sounds like we can't get on here at all the way they talk. And she's is trying to make things better - as people had concerns as to the way some things were done and she is trying to change it for the better as people have wanted.
Do these same ones feel that way when they are doing a design on something for someone (maybe a paying customer) and it is supposed to be done by a certain day, but they have machine problems or whatever. Their problems can probably be fixed in short order - a whole lot quicker than redoing several sites!
They should show some patience!

I agree with you. A little patience and mercy can go a long way. Miss Veronika, I have no intentions of letting my membership lapse as long as I can afford to pay it. I love your designs too much to leave you.

Yes, patience is the key word here. If you've ever done website building, html, writing in C++, all while transferring servers, which I'm assuming Veronika is doing because of the speed of the site, you know how much time this all takes. But, since most Cuties have not written code, they don't think about it. Also, Veronika is having to run a business, indeed quite a few, while doing it. She has to see to the processing of orders on all the web sites, see to the digitizing and testing of new designs, keep track of memberships, create sales, and do double-entry bookkeeping for the whole shebang. That might take a few hours a day, like probably 10 or 12. The lady needs to sleep sometime. And, while some of the convenient features of the community aren't working right now, "convenient features" don't make money. ALL of the designs have been and are now still available to purchase or download for members! Nothing has been taken away from those who purchased memberships, designs can still be downloaded, the method is slightly different. Now, Veronika HAS asked us to note any problems, things that don't work as they're supposed to, problems signing in, etc. She does need that information to correct problems, and I'm not getting after anyone who is giving that kind of information. Things can't work right if she doesn't know there are areas that need to be fixed. So we do need to tell her this, and I'm sure she doesn't see that as a complaint. But, I agree heartily about unconstructive carping. Just walk a mile in her shoes before you let your fingers do the walking all over her efforts, and ask yourself if you could do a better job. And for the most of you who are having patience and making the best of it, thanks a whole bunch for understanding that good things don't necessarily come overnite. Big hugs to Veronika and all the Cuties, even the complainers, Marji

She has her hands full and I for one appreciate all she does for us. I do miss a few things that are not up and running yet, but I can and will wait patiently for her to finish getting things going. She has given us so very much! I think a little patience on our part is NOT asking to much!
Much love, Patience and hugs to Ms. Veronika for this and all her other wonderful sites!!

I cannot begin to imagine my life without Cuties!! I have "met" so many people from all over the world who have the same interests as I have and I have learned so much from this site. I think that whomever is aiming unconstructive criticism at Miss V should take time and realise that what we could have is "SITE UNDER CONSTRUCTION" with absolutely no way to log on or communicate with other Cuties, and how awful would that be????

Thank you Miss V for all your hard work. Thank you for giving us all the opportunity to make friends and learn new things and thank you for working harder than any of us can imagine to make this site even better than it was before!!!!

i agree will all but......... i am sure the people in question will realise now just what is involved....I have found with the business i am in most people just dont understand what is involved with fixing whatever they just think all you have to do is push a button and presto finished so you know who you are..... just find out what is involved so you can make an informed statement....soozie

I agree, this is the best site and how wonderful it is to share with each other and most of all be able to pray for those who request it. Miss V. is one of a kind and hurting her feelings is so sad. Thanks for sharing this post with us. Hugs, Judy

This site has always been and still is the best. I have learned so many things from here. I am sure it will be even better when she is finished. A little patience goes a long way.

One thing to ask questions about what's going on. Another thing to complain when you don't know a thing about what you're talking about. People who are being unkind don't have a single clue as to what goes on in maintaining a site let alone updating one. Those people are showing their stupidity and really should keep their mouth shut! She could have shut the whole thing down and we wouldn't have had anything. Thanks for not doing that! AND thanks for improving something that was greatto begin with.

I'm sitting in your "Amen" corner, sqdancer. It takes time, effort, and energy in monumental proportions to maintain a website... and triple that to completely renovate one. As I've said before, I can only imagine the logistics that Miss Veronika is dealing with in trying to make this an even better site than it was before. This site is quite extensive and its going to take some time before it all gets straightened out.

Wow I hope a comment I made didn't sound like I was complaining. I did say I needed to be patient and wished I had waited to renew my membership but was not mad about it. A few years ago I tried to set up a free web page and had no idea what I was doing. Couldn't understand any of it. I admire people who can do this and I'm sure it can be a big headache. I prayed for Patience lol this is what I said. "God please give me patience, right now" Just something cute I heard years ago. I too love this site and not a bit upset with Miss Veronica. It's not like I don't have thousands of patterns already. And most haven't even used yet. lol Hugs to Miss V also.
