Was away from home all day helping out a friend. When I got home my husband informed me my brother has a tumor in the bone in his leg. He called this morning on his way down to the University Hospital very upset and scared. My husband made his promise to call after his appointment, good news its not cancerous. Bad news he has limes disease and that's what made it flare, and he has no insurance. Please send your prayers his way for a full and speedy recovery.

Thank you all my cute friends!

He will be fine, I have a friend that has the same illness and it is well under control, takes lots of antibiotics all the time, call the medications manufacturers and most of the time if you have no insurance they will guide you and help you how to get them free.************

This is much better news than having a cancer scare. Lyme Disease is very treatable with good results. Left a link but there are many more links to get the information so you know what kind of treatment he will be getting. Prayers that he will have a full recovery from this disease.

Insurance or not, Lyme disease is far better than cancer. Since he went to University Hospital, there is a chance that there could be a study going on right now at the hospital for Lyme treatment. It is definitely worth a call, since study participants aren't charged for the care received. Good luck! I hope that recovery surprises you its rapid cure. Best wishes to you and your whole family!!!

Lyme's is treatable. My daughter went through this when she was very small - she will be 45 this coming week. (Boy, how did get so old to have a daughter in middle-age. We nearly lost her, but she made it through. I did not know that a tick bite could cause something as bad a what she went thorough. But, the diagnosis for your brother is a blessing, believe it or not.

My sister suffers from Lyme's disease. It can be terrible at times, but there is relief from it and the majority of folks can be cured. Cancer however is a different animal! Sending prayers and thankfulness that he was diagnosed.;)
