FINISHED NUMBER 20 SANTA APPLIQUE this morning. Dana dropped round with her two and we decided to go up to Charlestown square shopping. Of course, me being a Nanna, bought Jasana some new clothes. I have 3 plain T-shirts that Jasana wants me to put designs on - a Cat on White, a Fairy on Mauve and a Princess on the Pink one. Over the next few days I'll put the sashings and contrasting little square on the Santa wall hanging too! Love and blessings Chris

Great job. This looks like an intricate applique. The fabric placement is great. Sounds like you will be busy sewing for awhile. Have fun!!! ~Carolyn~

Hi Carolyn, these are fiddly designs with a lot of colour thread changes, but I absolutely love doing applique. I hope I'll get it finished asap! Love Chris

Thanks, I can see the light at the end of the tunnel. It's much bigger than I anticipated, but hey, what the heck. I will have this one as a wall hanging or lay it over the lounge on my Ladies Christmas luncheon day. Love Chris

That is beautiful work.
BTW, is that Charlestown shopping centre, Newcastle NSW? (Fond memories of shopping and living around there many years ago).

Certainly is, I'm a Novocastrian (ex Adelaidian). It's only a 5-6 minute drive from my home. It's huge now and has everything you need. Love Chris and thanks for the comments.

Thanks Sonja, yes it is a fiddly past-time isn't it? Some of the pieces are small. I'm fortunate in that I don't have arthritis yet! I'm sure to get it though, as both my Dad had it and my Mum has it now. Love Chris
