I just checked several txt files that accompany her designs and she recommends a 75 - 80 needle and heavy water soluble stabilizer. There is no mention of thread, although I know I saw it some where. maybe on sticherymall. Polyester is made from oil, and also the shinest. Rayon is Plant material (cellulose) and had a nice sheen to it compared to cotton which is what I use, I just ordered maderia rayon to make my angels for the holidays. The designs I have from her only give general color names, no brand and no numbers.

On the computer screen something may appear more shiney due to lighting of the camera etc.

I just looked through some of the text files for designs I have from her, and one mentioned Floriani, one mentioned Maderia Rayon and a few mentioned Maderia polyneon. Not sure if that helps or not :)
