I wouldn't cut off any of the fur. It is very cute. You did an excellent job on it. *4u

That depends, does it make the shirt front(?) heavy, does it sag where the adorable applique is. If so, I would evenly trim some away. If you are asking just for appearances, I would say no. It is very cute!

No the shirt front it not heavy, I was thinking only of the look. That is what my DH said to leave it alone. Thanks DeVon

If you find that the eyes get covered up after a wash you could trim a little. But isn't that the way the dogs are?

What a wonderful idea! Wish I'd have thought of that when I did a kitty for my granddaughter. I love it!

Oh my goodness this is adorable. I never thought of fur for an applique. Shows you we are never to old to learn.

I love it this way - you might trim around the inside of the eyes - but the rest is just cute as it is.

It's adorable fluffy like it is. She will love "petting" the puppy. After it is washed a few times then it may need a little trim but I would leave it as is for now.

I love it just as it is. I would only trim if it needs a little something after washings. Great job!!!

No, I really think all doggy trimming should be left to professional groomers, so they don't end up patchy. LOLOL!!!!

Sorry DeVon, I just couldn't resist. :-)))

Seriously though, I think it's gorgeous just the way it is. Hugs n roses, Me

No way. Leave it just that way. She will love it to death anyway. It will probably loose all its fur over time by being loved sew much.
Really Cute....

Hooooo it is too cute, it makes you want to stroke. I did not cut hair except possibly those ears.
I do not know how this technique is a particular model or one can achieve this with everyone?
Thank you for these photos.
