This is a wonderful example of what NOT to do. These are for my twin GC coming up for three. I did Ben first and as you can see I did not use enough stablizier, did not try out the design either. Considering the design is quite dense there were no 'holding' stitches before the design started stitching out. For Georgie I used a much stronger stablizier. Still not wonderful but better. I also used very cheap t shirts - so I only have myself to blame. The picture has also bought out the very worst of just bad sewing. The twins will love them I'm sure. Sarah.

I bet they do love them, and we all learn from out mistakes. I have problems stitching on small shirts and things. But, good job.

They look very pretty, too bad the blue one had nor enough stabiliser. I don't understand why they don't digitise an underlay, especially in the case of rather dense designs.

I know very little about digitizing but I do know that designs sew out much better when there is an 'underlay' - thank you for the proper term and for comment. Sarah

Well I think these are cute. I don't think they will notice it because grandma made it for them. I know my great grandaughter thinks everything I make her is wonderful and she is 3.

They are cute and the little ones grow out of things quick so you will know what not to do for when they turn four. Right now I'm wearing a top with one of the first designs I ever did and I didn't stabilize very well, it has puckers and the bobbin thread shows but with the touch of the iron it looks better.

Thanks for showing-Good lesson. I have a request for a sports sweatshirt with customized lettering and logo and boy its harder than I thought but I'm practicing on an old sweatshirt first. I'm trying
to figure out how my software does the multihooping placement and my brain was not engaging so gave it a break and will try again.

Sarah, I am sorry this happened - but one thing is for sure - they are very young - only 3 - they will not notice and neither will anyone else - if you don't tell them - just learn from it - the next will work out better for you - I am sure of that. *4U

I think they look good and at that age, they won't sit still enough for people to read, much less, notice a pucker or two. Would you mind telling us where you got the numbers, I do like those eyes!-Toogie*4U

Thank you Toogie. The design is from SewForum. On the blue one I skipped the white for the eyes as it was already puckering so badly. This was a mistake as the pink one is much better with the white of the eyes being embroidered.

I think they are just fine. Cheap t-shirts are hard to emb. on.... I did 8 of them last year on $2 shirts! Whew - what a time I had.
I finally used a peel and stick stabilizer and did not hoop the t-shirt.
For no longer than they wear them -- cheap t-shirts are fine. :)

Thank you. I never hoop t shirts as I have found that make even more problems. This is actually the first time I have had a real problem with puckering.

Your not alone - I do stuff like that all the time. You would think I would learn. They are beautiful though - you still did a fantastic job on them and I'm sure your twins will love them, especially since grandma made them. :)
