Matric (Prom) Dress which I made.
Kaycee my niece looked stunning.
This is just the picture that I took.
Will post another when I get better pictures from my daughter who did all the photo's.

With a lot of help from (fleabag) Fiona.
Thanks so much for teaching me to work from a pattern.

Hugs and love Yvonne

This is gorgeous Yvonne and this colour is all the rage. Well done for having a go and doing it from a pattern. It's fiddly work, but well worth the effort.

Love and blessings Chris

P.S. I'm making a gorgeous little dress for Ophelie at the moment, will post it before the end of the week.

Thanks so much. She was thrilled when I asked her if I could make her dress. She could not believe that I was going to make it as gift for her. I then also bought her the silver shoes/sandals.
Kaycee and my sister(Cheryl) could not thank me enough last night again. So yes I think she did appreciate all the work put into it. Hugs Yvonne

What a beauty she is and a stunning couple they make - this dress is wonderful and so happy to hear that you learned a new technique - you are always so professional Yvonne, that I assumed you new how to do everything with a machine - sewing, embroidery and serging - all of it. Great photo's!

Thanks Shirlene.
Yes I do a lot of sewing, but my way, I have made lots of things without a pattern.
Fiona does dress making and she is teaching me to work from patterns. She is a great teacher.
Now she has a full time job and we don't have much time together.

I would love to see the bottom of the dress as it looks as if it is ruched.
by castelyn 28 Sep 2011
Thanks Sarah. Well the wind was blowing and I was standing at the wrong angel when taking the photo. As you can see the dress was blown up on the brick work at the back of her. I do not take the best of pictures. Hugs Yvonne
