Jelly Roll Quilt Top - this was indeed a challenge to me since I do not sew much...but I had to give this a try. I had picked up the reproduction jelly roll from Tuesday Morning at about 1/3 the price from the stores, so I had to use it.

They actually have several things. I picked up fat quarters, and packets of fabric - a lot less than JoAnn's or even Wal-Mart. They had some of the Fons & Porter quilt items too.

Very nice work and this is so much faster - is it not? Great idea to purchase these at the other store - I will have to go in one and look now. Hehehe!

Quick quilt top! Love it! I need to check out Tuesday mornings! Did you wash the jelly roll before you put it through your machine? I am sensitive to factory dust and sizing, so I have to wash everything before I use it. christine LLDS!

No, I did not. I was afraid to wash all 40 of those strips. I was afraid that they would ravel more than they were.

I stitched all 40 strips together in one afternoon, after I got my tangle undone. I had an issue after sewing that big strip all together...hope I learned something for the next one.
