Christmas cards
Somebody asked if we had started on Xmas items, after 13 stockings I am now doing the cards. Patterns from Artistic thread work.

love these did you colour them in yourself and are they ok to sew out on stock card and if special card is used what is it,.
Is the card double fold, so that the revers of the design is hidden from view when completed.

I use orddinary card and colour them after I have sewn them. I stick just a piece of card on the back of the design to cover them up. Artistic Thread work has a very good video to show how it is done!

can you sew with paper ? What do I have to keep in mind ifI want to give this a try ?

Zoefzoef, je kunt op kaarten heel gemakkelijk borduren als je versteviging in je ring spant en de kaart met een beetje lijmspray of een gewone plakstift op de versteviging bevestigd. Het borduurmotief moet liefst een lijnmotief zijn (redwork) en de steken niet te klein, anders krijg je een fraaie perforatie.
Ik heb zelf twee rozen gepost, en twee motieven geschikt voor Kerst, ik zal de link erbij zetten.

Nice cards, dit you colour them afterwards? Would be nice for the grandchildren to do.

My garndchildren are still to young (oldest 2 ) but Yes I colured them after sewing.

I have never tryed cards yet do you need special paper???
