UPDATE ON TY- Sat the 8th,his 9th BIRTHDAY!! He had his 3rd surgery this morning. This time after they cleaned it out they left a drain tube, but that also means surgery again Monday. He cried and said he wished they would just take his foot off and be done with all the pain.It breaks your heart because he doesn't understand they are trying to help him.He just wants to take it off and go home. He isn't running a fever now, so hopefully Monday will be the last surgery(they still have it open at both sites)Monday if things are improved enough they will close his foot up. Keep him/us in your prayers-Toogie

Poor guy. At that age, it is not possible for them to understand and see beyond the moment. If I were you, I would be taking pictures of him. That way, as he is progressing, you can show where he has been so he can actually see the improvement. At his age, time doesn't seem to move very fast, so a snapshot is what they live in. I wish him the best, and hope that he is able to fully recover and carry on a normal life after the trauma of this is behind him!

Even adults don't like to be tired and in pain and then having to go through tests and treatment. Can't even imagine trying to explain this to a nine-year old. Praying for Ty's recovery.
