Dear All, what a lovely surprise to come on here now (7.34am Monday 10th October) and see all these messages. I'm blown away.

It's simply a glorious day here - we've been up since 6.30am and the first phone call was from our son Ben and Cooper singing Happy birthday at 7.00am - then Mum (it's been a tradition in our family to ring the birthday person early on their birthday all my life) rang at 7.10am. Trevor is getting ready to go off to work.

I'm having lunch with Mum, Amy and Ophelie, Dana and Aqualina at a beautiful little restaurant on the foreshore of our Lake Macquarie. Then I'm going "cutting table" shopping. I need something to cut my fabric out on as the tables we have are too low - it makes my back ache (is that a sign of growing old??? - well I'm not admitting to it yet ha ha he he!!!)- so Trevor said go have a look for one! I already have some gorgeous furniture arriving to store my fabric in - as I'm now in the old Master bedroom and want it at hand! Plus yesterday I planted quite a lot of native plants.

For our South African friends when Mum and I were out yesterday at the Nursery she has ordered a Pink Calliandra (South African Pom Pom flower - check it out on Google) - that should be arriving today or tomorrow. So we may even get a call about that to go and collect it. So a busy day planned ahead.

What a great day - I popped over to Penola House - it's a refugee home here in Newcastle where we are helping the people from Africa. I have a King size bed ensemble that we are donating to them and a computer table. That was interesting and the Sister (religious) in charge will ring me to find out when they can collect the goodies.

THEN I WENT TO ZIG ZAG SEWING and guess what? I bought a NEW CUTTING TABLE IN WHITE. It will be arriving this Friday from Sydney. It's easy to assemble and will be a great addition to my sewing room. Once I get my new furniture I'll post a picture for you all to see.

Then I went to collect Mum and we all went to lunch - had a great time - they sang me my birthday gift - tickets for all the girls to go and see the stage musical Mary Poppins in Sydney this Saturday - 2 and a half hours later we all left! I will add some piccies.

Thanks for everyone's best wishes etc. I've had a wonderful day and made a beautiful Lasagne for dinner which Trevor loved. He came and patted me on the head a minute ago and said again "Happy Birthday" - my actual birthtime is 8.00pm which is very soon!!!! So happy birthday to me!
