Advise needed.I want to do the FSL 3D Xmas trees that are in the cuties section but the only stabiliser that I have that could be suitable is Gutermann Sulky Heat Away.I bought this box awhile ago & the instructions should be inside but they are missing,so any advise would be appreciated.I have some clear plastic like stabiliser that is not a topping but can't remember what it is called but it came from Punch with Judy & I'm sure is was for FSL designs

Instructions say to use 1 or 2 layers, emb. lace design, when complete trim excess close to edges, place ironing cloth over design & lightly iron without steam at heat setting 2 - 3 for 10 - 15 seconds or until Heat Away turns brown & just brush away the remains.
I find it need high setting & 30 seconds. Play with it first. xx

I only use heat-away as a topping.
If the clear plastic one is thick enough - called Badgemaster in some cases - you can use it for FSL, I always do, although Shirlene (the FSL Queen!) prefers the type that looks like a woven material.

While I do prefer the woven type the best Badgemaster is so much more affordable and will do the same job...it just takes longer to dissolve and is really sticky until it drys.

The type I have is woven & firm ,it reminds me of the interfacing that was called shapewell -available during the 70's & 80's .
I'll try doing a small design using each of them & see how they turn out..
