This is really beautiful. Would make my Bobbin Lace teacher jealous. "Advanced Embroidery" certainly have some beautiful designs.

Lidia, this is one of my foavorite oval doilies to stitch out - I have never done it in all white - I might have to try that. *4U

Not really! The beauty of the Battenberg style is that it isn't dense at all. This doily measures 195 x 273 mm and has only 40,545 stitches, that's why it should be stitched using cotton thread. When you rinse the water-soluble vilene, it seems that you don't have much in your hands, but after you leave it dry and iron it, then it becomes beautiful, a proper doily.
Probably it took me 3 hours to stitch it at low speed.

it seems that you don't have much in your hands. I confess that I considered if throwing it in my rubbish bin! But after leaving it to dry and ironing it, it took consistency and became beautiful!

Returning to your question: to stitch it, probably it took me about three hours at low speed.

Glad you were able to save it after all the time stitching it out.

It was the first time I had stitched a Battenberg FSL and it looked so miserable, worse then when you stitch a lacy but non-FSL design. I'm glad that I didn't do it! Thank you for your comment.
