Mops Doily - molested!
When I was stitching out Mops cutwork doily (from You Embroidery) I began to see lots of possibilities. So, I put red thread in the bobbin, stitched the scalloped edge and then replaced the holly with redwork designs. I love the results and they were so quick to stitch, they will make great fundraiser items.

lorsque je fais ce genre de broderie je fais l'inverse de vous,c'est à dire que je commence par le dessin du milieu et je met sous le tissu un morceau d'intissé.je brode,puis je met sous l'intissé un deuxième tissu,je lance le premier tour du pourtour, puis je coupe les deux tissus à la limite de la ligne de couture,puis je fais le pourtour.Ainsi mon napperon est beaucoup plus net,puisque on ne vois aucun fils sous le napperon.

I had thought of doing what you say, using a print fabric underneath.
