why does my dog thinks you can eat the cattoys that looks like a mouse?

a year ago she ate such a mouse and was not feeling good untill she spit it out after 3 days and only the plastic mouse was there. The fabric and the tail that covered the mouse was digested. And now 3 days ago she did it again before I noticed she swallowed a toy mouse at my neighbours. And today it came out at last. Does anybody else have heard or experienced such a crazy behaviour? It isn't healthy for her either.
