Sorry I haven't been here much lately, I just haven't been good company, what with worrying about Tidge and waiting for my new spectacles so I can get rid of the constant headache I have been living with for the last four weeks.

Tidge has had a change of medication because she suffered quite badly from side effects on the first lot of meds.

She hasn't gained any weight, but she also hasn't lost any, though she seems to have lost her ravenous appetite and I worry that she may be slipping.
I won't give up fighting for her and as soon as she has been on this new medication for 2 weeks she will have blood tests to see if her kidneys are still ok and (God willing) she will then have the Iodine Radiation treatment which will cure her, as long as her kidneys don't fail.

Please say a little prayer that we make it.
hugs and very deep gratitude, Meganne

Hopefully the new meds will work. As in other things, just take it one day at a time.

Our furbabies are just that, "our babies"! May the Lord look over you nad Tidge. It sure does make us worry and hurt when our babies are not well. I have been very lucky with most of my furbabies. Most have lived very long lives and been sick very little. All you can do is love them, take good care of them and pray that they will be healthy and with you for a long time. The Pekingese that I thought I could not live without lived to be over 16 but when he got really sick, I had to make a decision that was the hardest I have ever had to make. I called my Vet and he came to my house and put him to sleep so he would not be suffering any longer. I had other dogs and even a couple more Pekingese at the time but Gizzy was truely a very special animal and guardian. He tried to protect me from anyone he did not know but there was not a mean bone in his body. He was as gentle as an angel and as playful as a puppy up until a couple of weeks before he left me. I did animal rescue and he took many an animal into our home and tried to look after it! That was 8 yrs ago and I still miss him! I lost his Sisters last puppy just last yr in August and she was alot like him. She was only 14yrs and 8 months old but she had cancer. Gizzy was not the litter's sire but he looked after them like he was the Mommy! As long as he lived with the exception of the last 2 days, he was by my side every minute I was at home and he took every ride and made every trip we made for 16 yrs. They become our friends and children. I am a firm believer that every home should have pets. That is , if they are treated right and loved! My son loves/loved every one of the furbabies we ever had and he still loves animals but my DIL hates to have them around! She has no idea what she is missing. My Bebe that left us last yr tried her best to get close to my DIL but to no avail! Bebe thought everyone was supposed to love her! My Patty does not care for my DIL but she just ignors her. She does not even try to get close to Brian but she is adopted and had a rough time before I got her. Her human mommy was sick and passed away when she was very tiny. The family did not want her or her mommy so they went to foster care. Patty was less than 6 months old when that happened and her mom was adopted very quickly. That left her in a strange place with only strangers and alot of big dogs. Amy was wonderful with her and she screened me very well! She knew I had an older Pekingese and was afraid they would not get along. After much communication, she called me and told me that she had a buyer/home for her and the lady was supposed to come get her on Saturday. I kept looking at her picture on Petfinders.com and crying but in a couple of days I emailed Amy and told her that I appreciate her for fining a good home for Patty and I was sad and very upset because I was not going to get her but was happy that she had found a good home for her. As soon as she read my reaction, she picked up the phone and called me and told me she was mine if I wanted her! I think she was testing me to see if I was a good and kind person or if I was going to get upset and show out. I broke down and cried and met her on Saturday in Tennessee to pick her up. I put Patty and my Bebe in a shopping cart together and they hit if off right the second they met! I am going to try to download the picture of their first meeting.

Bebe is gone but not forgotten! Patty still has a big smaile on her face 24/7! She is 6 now but was here for me and Bebe's faithful friend until the end.

My thoughts are with you, Meganne.
Even in your own worries you thought of others needing help and digitised that great design for stoma pads for Katie.

I hope you are coming good now and starting to enjoy life a little better.

Much love

Prayers and blessings Meganne, for you and all your family. Our fur babies are a HUGE part of our families and I would not be the person I am without my babies in my life. I read somewhere:
You have not lived, you have not loved, til you opened your heart to a creature of Gods creation. hugs Helen
