3D applique Christmas wreath. Another molested design although I can't remember where it came from! (Someone posted a link to it a couple of weeks ago.) I stitched out 3 poinsettias in each of two sizes and 9 leaves. They are assembled in pairs with beaded centres. The background is a padded ring made from mounting board and covered with a holly print fabric. I used hot glue to attach all of the pieces as I didn't want to squash them out of shape.

It's very pretty. Would a pillar candle fit in the middle? Very nice work.

I think it would - not safe to light it though!

This looks beautiful. I like the 3D poinsettias, they are so much fuller when stacked together, and your fabric is very pretty. Your deconstructïng designs lead to great results.

Great job Sue and it would look lovely on your front door welcoming all to a household for Christmas. Love and blessings Chris

Lovely. Creative Machine Embroidery magazine has a free download for a poinsettia wreath using organza. Looks a lot like that.

That is the design I molested. I hadn't seen the project before though, and didn't know it was intended for organza!
thanks Gerry.

Thanks to gerryb I have now tracked down the design. This wasn't where I got it from though, and I had no idea that it was intended for organza!

Very Nice! It is fun to create by the seat of your pants! I am working towards getting access to my stuff and then I hope to make pieces like this. Live Laugh Download Stitch!

Sue, you have done lovely work here - very nice job of not squashing them out of shape, too. I really like it.

Looks fabulous, Sue. Amazing what a difference a so much thicker fabric does to that design you've 'molested' :)

I love poinsettia designs even though I don't care for the real thing... LOL! This is just as lovely as it can be. The gears inside my head are turning like crazy. Thanks for posting this!
