10-22-11 Cutie Meeting in Northern California. From the left we have Elizabeth, Angie(crafter2243), Sewmom, Mousemaster(in the back), Denise (shuede), and Sewmom's sister in front.
We had a lovely/yummy lunch and lots of visiting time but I think we still needed more time. We were a chatty bunch!
We also worked on Elizabeth's quilt for her new grand daughter. She already had it made but needed the name and birth information.
I really enjoyed Angie's FSL samples that she brought to show us. She is good!
Elizabeth showed us her knitting which is beautiful! And really, she kept her shirt on most of the time.
Denise brought her absolutely adorable daughter who hung out with my girls for a while.
Mousemaster, well, can you say Disney? We had another one of those interesting legal vs not legal Disney design discussions.
A big thank you to my sister for helping me get the food ready even though she is not an official Cutie.
I hope we can do it again sometime.
So glad you were able to meet, and am not at all jealous, as I'm entertaining company too.
Hugs,
Jacqueline
A friend gave me a recipe for Beach Club Salad but I changed it a bit. Serves 10-12
Salad
4 chicken breasts baked, cooled, and cut into bite size pieces.
1 head of Romaine lettuce cut or torn into bite size pieces
1 head of Leaf lettuce or Red Tipped Leaf lettuce cut or torn into bite size pieces
1 ½ cups of raspberries
1 cup blueberries
2 cups blue cheese crumbled
6 tablespoons almonds slivered
In a large bowl put in both types of lettuce. Add chicken. Sprinkle raspberries, blueberries, blue cheese, and almonds on top. Gently toss just before serving.
Dressing
½ cup raspberry vinegar –or:
I made my own like this:
½ cup white vinegar
½ cup crushed raspberries
¼ cup apple juice
1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
1 medium clove garlic minced
¼ teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon freshly ground pepper
¾ cup vegetable oil (you could use canola oil)
For Dressing: in a small bowl whisk together vinegar (pre-made or my 3 ingredients), mustard, garlic, salt, and pepper. Slowly pour in oil, whisking until emulsified. Strain in a fine strainer.
I wish I had taken a picture, it's very colorful. The kids devoured the leftovers already! That's what happens when my firefighter son gets home :)
½ cup white vinegar
½ cup crushed raspberries
¼ cup apple juice
Then the ingredients after that are added no matter if you use pre-made raspberry vinegar or mine.
Thank you for sharing with us sewmom.
Wish i was there too
Hugs Lee
Thank you Angie for the Cute Christmas Pin.
And the delicious desserts from Denise, the yummy bread from Mousemaster, and so much more. We have a very giving group up here!
Wasn't it a gret day - that by connecting via the Cute we could mmeet and get together. Love and hugs Elizabeth

The get together was one of the highlights of my trip. My GD is doing fine and it will be hard leaving to go home to South Africa. I'm hoping to come again next year but she'll be walking by then and no longer a "babe in arms".
Don't babies grow up too quickly?
Love and hugs
Elizabeth
