This placemat I made for my niece (another teacher) and she collects beetles soooo
I gave her beetles. Colorful ya think.
Beetle embroidery from Emb. Lib. (nice but very dense) flower corner also Emb. Lib. and hearts not sure from where. Hope you like what you see.

I do love the designs from emb. lib. even though some (beetle car) are very dense and harder to embroider The end result is always worth it in the end.
