Another LED card - I've put the wording for this one in DBC. This might look an elaborate card but it only took about 15 minutes to make - including mounting the embroidery! I hope I can get some more of the snowflake lights...

Come visit us in Canada, we get snow, snow and more snow,

LOL, so true. I was raised in northern Ontario as well. I can remember as a kid, being amazed that the snow piles almost touched the power lines!! :) Charlotte

These cards are cheerful and if not too heavy I'd find a way to hang it or put it in an easel.

I LOVE your snowflake lights, makes the simplest design look like art! I would have not have given them a second glance had I come across them, you make them look the find of the year!

I always try to look laterally at things - even really cheap tat can be an inspiration! I'll be back in the shop at the weekend. (I was really looking for candy canes but they didn't have any!)

It is a a battery operated LED light. The plastic reflector is removable so I made a small hole in the centre of the card and reassembled the light like a sandwich.

sue i love this idea but sadley no "Works " shops in our area wonder if they have anything like it in the pound shop. I have lots of musical push movements and and evn some that work with lights but none as small as this.
As you say look at things in a different eye and see what it could be otherwise used for.

Worth looking in the Poundshop. Caroline (asterixsew) has seen the there. Don't bother with the ones in Lakeland - £9.99 for 3.
by eggyannie 29 Oct 2011
don't you just love poundland.
I have found some wonderfull rotary cutters in there in the decorating section. annie
