Hi Cuties. I just ordered a new Singer XL400 Sewing & Embroidery Machine. It's one of their latest models and it comes with a larger hoop, 6x10. Has anyone out there tried this machine? I've had a Futura for a few years & loved it, always wanted the larger hoop to do bigger designs. It should be here on Monday, can't hardly wait.

I have never had one or seen one - but I wish you well with it - the larger hoops will be wonderful for you to stitch on. CONGRATULATIONS

great excitement in your sewing room. I learnt to sew on a Singer, but no nothing about the Embroidery models.

I had a Futura & it was a huge lemon -the embroidery part. Hope this gives you the the same service as your previous machine

I have a futura ce250 and recently got the Singer
Quartet which is the same as yours just came with a different configuration. The XL400's come from the dealers I believe.
Join Yahoogroups and there are a few futura groups that can help. Just search futura.

I haven't had chance to figure out multihooping due to a leak at my house the
week after I got it but I did manage to do
a large fsl neckline without a single hickup. Purred like a kitten.

Only thing is I got used to hooping the 5x7 and these hoops are a bit different so had to get used to getting the 6x10 nice and taught.
Have fun with your new machine
