Well, winter is here! It is the earliest noreaster that I know of (I am almost 50). The snow started earlier this a.m. I thought I'd go to town, turned around at daughter's house. Saw a car off the road and it was a lot worse just 5 minutes up the road. Hubby and I took truck for some Kerosene and fuel for the skid loader-roads are really white now. Winds are supposed to pick up and with leaves still on trees possible power outages. Got home and our power went out while gone, but it came back on. What a weekend.

Oh Stork! I feel for you! Be careful and stay safe!! We had a Halloween blizzard in 91. I am hoping the snow holds off for a few more weeks here in MN as I'm not done getting my firewood in for the winter.

We had snow falling here in the higher elevations of the Blue Ridge Mountains up till around 11am. Our ground is still warm so it should melt rather quickly once the sun comes out. The ski resorts try to open by Thanksgiving (Nov 24th) so they are always happy when the temperatures fall to freezing.

We have seen how bad it is snowing in your area on the news - my DH is a weather nut - so we keep track of this sort of thing. Glad you went back home.
