Glenda, very nice work - I can't figure out - how you put it together - but I love it. It will be a great addition on your table.

I have been told not to enlarge any design to more than 20%. Have I understood correctly that you have enlarged the doily by 50% or more? How did the satin border stitch? Have you increased the density of the satin border? I am still learning these things. By the way, it looks fantastic!!!

The doily that I started with was 13" and I increased it to 14" only so that there was no problem with the stitch out...thanks glad you liked it...

It looks very pretty Brenda. Did you stitch the embroidery on the outside and neating the back as much as possible?
I don't mind uploading the design in just under 14" - that would fit a 360mm hoop in one direction, so Ruby or Diamond owners would only have to split it in half. I'm afraid smaller hoops would have to have it split in 4.

Sorry about your name!!!!
No problem Martine I get called all kinds of variations..the right side of the patterned doily is what you see on the inside of the holder when it is snapped together. You could always use the same color in the bobbin for the gold, green & blue but trim all the threads for sure on the wrong side.

Thanks dlonna, I used my old one as the pattern, it must be at least 25-30 years ago that my SIL's mother gave it to me for Christmas.
