What a journey I had with my computor, have Norton Internet Security, my computor still goes and crash, it is a year old computor, thank God I have usb, disc and external hard drive where I treasure all my designs and other stuffs. But I am so sad I have lost all my favourites, I used to just click on favourites and go to any site I wanted, now I don't know where the free designs are. So if anyone can help me with the sites with free designs, please do let me have it. Glad I still have this site with me. Thank God I got my computor back yesterday, life is back to noramal. Cuties becareful, one of the embroidery sites, not sure which one has a virus that kills computors!!

Oh that is so bad when it happens. This was the case for me last year. I also cried, I had not been collecting for long but did have a good collection started. LOST
EVERYTHING. I now have a external hard drive and save my desings.
Good luck with finding your designs again.

Oh my! I have Norton too. Wish we knew just what site did it. Glad you have your computer back. You can get your sites back by going to our freebie tab everyday & I bet they will show up sometime!

you can never have enough backups. Afterall, a Anti virus programm protects your pc AFTER the virus is known. So in fact you are always running a bit behind. -can't protect something which is not known and for which there is no cure /blocking yet-

I also made a back up of all my favorites and have them on a USB stick. This way if I am away I have them with me and should the computer crash I have them as a back up also.

I doubt, very seriously, that I have a list that compares to those others here would have. The cute embroidery family, of course, with cuteembroidery.com (if you posted, you found it), adorableapplique.com, cutealphabets.com, amazingembroiderydesigns.com, and youembroidery.com. Also, there is bunnycup embroidery, emblibrary, and now I've forgotten the rest. <sigh> Think think think! Designsbysick.com, designsbyjuju.com, I'm still thinking. Will dig through my favorites and post. I have trouble with the favorites - I wish I could see the list without going there and closing things. It makes the search cumbersome. Maybe there is another way, but this is a start (and probably way less than you were asking for). The freebies tab also lists the sites.

Thank you all, we must remember we can never be to careful when we are on the internet, I wish I knew where and which site did this so I could protect everyone but sorry I have no idea but I know I spend alot of time only on the embroidery sites.

You can back up your favorites to a USB or External HDD too - I do that, just in case....
