That is great Shirlene! Thanks for sharing! It looks more like a teen/young adult than an older person like me but that may be because I have never liked frills, fluff, and modern girly items. Boy, am I showing my age!!!!!!! I guess I have been very plain all of my life! I also just had one son and zero daughters. I made his clothes(alot of them), but not all, until he got to old to want to wear them. I did sew for the family and friends but my Mom had to have a couple of new outfits every couple of months right until the end. She kept me on my toes all of the time. She was the real dresser in the family! I do not think I ever heard her complain about a single thing I ever made for her. This was a lady that used to buy all of her clothes at the highest end stores when she was working with Bell South all of her life until retirement. I think the ladies she worked with and Mom also like to compete with each other... Of course, Mom always gave me free will with everything I made for her. I picked out the material and the patterns and she paid for the material.

all my girls and grands will love to wear this and so will I.

Thank you, gives lots of ideas for some neat scarves.

I just made some scarfs for the grandkids. I cut 2 pieces of fleece 5in by 45". One was solid the other was a print. I sewed them down the middle. 2 1/2" on each side. Then I cut every inch down both sides of the center seam. For the grandson, I cut a solid piece 11" by 45" On the bottom of one I embroidered a monster face. I will put pic up after the grandkids wake up from naps..

Shirlene, thanks for sharing with us. I think I will make one for the 18" dolls and see how it looks. My t-shirts are extra small but I think it would be just right for a doll. Sounds like fun.

Thanks Shirlene, Did I hear right, she was using jersey knit T-Shirts? Does it matter? I wonder if cotton ones would also work for this? Does anyone know?

I've seen similar to this - but wow - how easy and we can recycle something that would otherwise might end up in the rag bag!
