this is the first of my special christmas cards that will go over the sea. I have used the foundation quilting processe for this and actually printed the fabrics myself from pictures on the web.
this way i have a nice selection of pattens. The frozen stream in the foreground was covered over with crystal organza to give the frosted look. small rushes and grasses were added with fine tipped felt pens.
I will be doing a few more over the weekend and getting them into the post next week.

you can find a lot of patterns on google just search stained glass landscapes and many of them are free. I am off today to find me some cheap cotton mens hankies as they are ideal for printing on and once washed and the starch removed they are so thin they handle well. pound shop here i come.
plus i need a cheap hollow fibre pillow to act as stuffing for a few projects. its cheaper to buy the stuffing this way.

Wow, Annie your card is wonderful! More of a gift than just a card! Do you fuse the hankie to stabilizer before printing? I'd love any info you can give me on the printing process since, your method is so much cheaper than using the printer "fabric". thanks and *'s for all, Deb
