What a lovely visit we had with Bettina yesterday. We enjoyed shopping, eating a cake I made with Christies help to read the directions, and TALKING of course about Cute and embroidery! I am so jealous, I have become quite friendly with Bettina on cute and would love to be able to get together with you all but I am in the US in Ohio so that is not likely to happen, lol. Thanks for posting the pics!

Debra I have to admit that I was never in the US (but I was twice in the caribean if that counts ;o). If Felix was a little bit older I will pick up Christie and wemade a grils-day in Michigan :o) Hope you are feeling better at the moment...

Not gloating but the cake did taste fabulous, it was choc/vanilla mixed with cherries baked in, with a cream cheese layer on on top, with chocolated glazed swirled in, then I added cherry pie filling on top.
Not a calorie in sight?. G

It was a box mix from Germany, but I suppose you could do this, take a yellow cake mix prepared, and split part of the mix, add cocoa powder to part, put vanilla down first in springform pan, then put the choc part of the mix on top,, place drained cherries on top of chocolate batter, bake, then after cake cools, place a cream cheese mixture on top, then take some chocolate that hardens and place over top, swirl, then garnish with cherry pie filling.
