I don't turn it up too much so that I can still hear what is going on around me but will start singing if it's something I know. My kids don't think that is cool for me to sing but my husband is amazed at how I know the song and singer. I just tell my kids it makes me happy.

Jo, I, too, love to sing along with the radio as I travel. I am sort of a "free spirit", and let loose to my little source of giddiness, occasionally!!
My hubby thinks I have a wonderful voice, and loves to hear me sing! My children cringe, so I guess I know who loves me?!!! LOL
