I've never worked with metallic thread before, so am curious why it took so much longer. You did an absolutely beautiful job with this design!!

Metallic threadis tricky at times and you need to slow the machine down as wellas use aspecial needle.

Yes, the metallics are tricky and bring out the worst in the vocabulary...LOL! You are right on, the machine speed is slowed down tramatically and I broke 2 metallic needles due to nesting even though I had the bobbin tension lowered.
GGGRRR! I ended up putting a titanium needle in to finish up and that worked the best....
